Rays Spread Holiday Cheer to Local Children

ST. PETERSBURG, FL - Rays players and staff took some time out of their holiday schedule on Tuesday to spread cheer to local children at the St. Petersburg Boys and Girls Club.

Players including Wilson Ramos, Kevin Kiermaier, Denard Span and Adeiny Hechavarria visited the club, interacted with kids and distributed holiday gifts.

"It's great to be here," Ramos said. "The best part about this is seeing the kids' faces when we walk in and they see all the presents. It's a lot of fun."

Ramos enjoyed playing games with the children and noted that it was a good opportunity for him to give back to the community.

"I think it's important because we're blessed," he said. "We play baseball for a living and we make a lot of money, so it's nice to come back here and spend some time with these kids."

Kiermaier said he always enjoys participating in the club's visits and looks forward to coming each year.

"It's awesome," he said. "It puts a smile on my face just walking in the door and seeing all the kids' faces light up when they see us. It's great to interact with them, play some games and hand out some gifts."

Rays to Donate $10,000 to Local Charity

The Tampa Bay Rays baseball team announced today that they will be donating $10,000 to a local charity. The team has partnered with the charity to help them provide aid to those in need.

"We are excited to partner with this local charity and help them provide aid to those who need it most," said Rays General Manager Erik Neander. "This is an important cause, and we are proud to donate our resources to help those in need."

According to the charity, the donations will be used to help the homeless population in the area. The charity plans to use the money to buy food, clothing, and other necessary supplies for the homeless.

This isn't the first time that the Rays have partnered with this particular charity. The team has worked with them in the past to help provide aid to disaster victims.

The Rays aren't the only team in MLB that has been involved in charitable work this season. Earlier this year, the Detroit Tigers donated $50,000 to a local food bank.

Rays light up the night sky with their Christmas Lights Show

The show begins at 6:30pm and runs every half hour until 9:00pm. Be sure to bring your camera because there will be plenty of photo opportunities with Santa, Rudolph, and all of the animals at the zoo. There is also a special display of holiday lights synchronized to music near the Scotland Yard Ride.

Rays celebrate their 20th anniversary by giving back to the community

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Tampa Bay Rays. In these two decades, the Rays have accomplished a lot both on and off the field. In honor of their anniversary, the Rays have announced that they will be giving back to the community in a big way.

The Rays have partnered with numerous charities to help support various programs and initiatives. One such charity is THRIVE, which helps children and families in need. The Rays will be working with THRIVE to provide food and clothing for those in need, as well as educational opportunities.

Another charity that the Rays are partnering with is St. Petersburg Free Clinic. This clinic provides medical care and services to those who cannot afford it. The Rays will be working with St. Petersburg Free Clinic to help them expand their services, as well as provide much-needed funding.

Both of these charities are very important to the Tampa Bay community, and the Rays are doing a great job in helping them out. They are setting an excellent example for other businesses in the area, and we can only hope that others will follow suit. Thank you, Tampa Bay Rays, for your 20 years of dedication to your community!
